    Smile Hi Everyone! :) I'm new. Please read :) xx

    Hey I'm Katherine 19 years old from New Zealand. I have been suffering from anxiety. Last year I was under a lot of stress living with my bf and his mother (my bf was not the problem). His mother pressured me into doing things..eg. cleaning (treated me like a maid), i was always put down and discriminated by her, she had a strong religous belief and everything just got worse.. i knew she didn't like me living with her and being with her son. As for my bf he's the most supportive and always stood up for me. Now living back with my parents for a while. It's been good, no one watching me like a hawk and blaming me for everything. I also had seen a psychologist and that helped me a lot to get back from a dark gloomy place of mind to a positive more lively soul =) I still have shallow breathing though but I'm practising breathing techniques to breathe like i use to i hear yoga is good too.. but haven't tried it yet. anyone have any breathing techniques for abdominal breathing? please share with me.     Hello Katherine. I have had bad anxiety also.. as I have learned. Try to breath as if you were a smoker. Take deep breaths in, hold it inside and release it with a small opening in your mouth. (I hope that makes sense).
    Anyway, if you breath like a smoker sucks the smoke in and lets it out, that is a great way to do breathing exercises..
