    Oooh bunny65,

Fight, fight, fight! You will succeed.. and by fight I don't mean, beat yourself up on a daily basis from the sheer panic that overcomes you when you can't get out, or are trying to get out. I mean, set little goals that seem ridiculously easy, but that engages you in going outside. If that is too much, then give yourself a little time to rest up and then try again. Remember, MI are not static disorders, they are almost like tending a fire. Sometimes it stokes up really hot, sometimes it lays dormant. Take advantage of days when you feel really good, and go easy on days when you feel crummier. Little by little, step by step. Use lots of kindness with yourself and encouragement.

Last but not least, I'm so glad to see you posting here. Having a sense of community and support can go a long way to turning around a bad day into a good one! Hope to see you in chat sometime!

I know the feeling, and I'm not just saying that.
I have multiple issues (social anxiety, agoraphobia, paranoia, dependency) to the point I don't want to leave home either (also sensitive in all senses), so I do know where you're coming from.

The question I have to ask myself is do I want help or not.
It's so scary for me to "leave the nest", but to others it just looks weird if I don't (I would never admit that to anyone else).

Sounds like agoraphobia. I went 3 whole months without leaving the house once. It depends what feeling is more controlling? Not leaving the house or leaving the house? The idea of not leving the house sounds bad but if leaving the house feels worse then see a psychologist to help you through it otherwise like me you won't leave the house and then leaving becomes one huge feat!

I really feel for you and indeed all of us who go through this horrendous feeling, life is hard enough without Agoraphobia.
It has taken me a very long time to admit this to myself. Can you recall when it started to happen?

Get out and be calm as much as humanly possible! Wish I had realised sooner that it was happening to me. I think I would have beat it a lot quicker if I'd have known. like colourgirl said: fight fight fight!

Great advice and such a great insight! Sometimes it stokes up hot, sometimes dormant! Like tending a fire! Depending on what else I'm going through, how many logs are in it. Sometimes not many and it's mostly just ashes.
