INNER STRENGTH


Within the deepest heart there lies
A strength beyond all words
It gives you courage to go on
Through all you’ve been and heard.

A strength to face each coming day
And all that it will hold
To be strong and not give in
To life’s bitter cold.

This inner strength is not thine own
But comes from God’s own heart
A desire burning to go on
And in life do your part.

So when you doubt your valued life
And lack the drive to live
Reach deep within your inner soul
For strength which God will give.

This one is not so encouraging, but I feel like posting it.
BETRAYED IN ANGER


When trust is lost with those you know
And backs are all we see
We feel betrayed, embarrassed too
Now what is wrong with me?!

Betrayed in anger from all sides
No corners to escape
Everyone I trust is mad
Why is there so much hate?

He dropped me like a bouncing ball
No chance I had to speak
He claimed it was his own idea
To have me from him leave.

People teach us to be strong
Make choices for ourselves
Why then is there hell to pay
When we do things for our selves?

Boundaries are to protect
Limit what we take and do
Yet when I set limits of mine
Wrath then follows through.

I ask you this one thing today
I really please must know
Should my health come first or last
When plans are set in stone?

Betrayment is a big strong blow
It hits you fast and hard
The pain is more than one can bear
The hurt and sorrow grow.

THE RIPPLES OF OUR LIFE


As the water trickles down a stream
So also does my life
Trickle down the path I walk
In joy and peace and strife.

And each trickle leaves a ripple
Spreading further wide
Consequences of each choice
Stretching to all sides.

The choices I make will trickle down
Affecting others’ lives
All I want is for the best
For what they work strive.

My life too has been so touched
By ripples such as these
Affecting and persuading me
Where the link will cease.

Each life will touch another life
Changing it somehow
You may never know how you’ve changed
Lives back then and now.

PRECIOUS SWEET SPIRIT


Spirit Wind embrace me
Caress away my fears
Soothing affirmation
Dry away all tears.

Spirit breathe upon me
Renew my spirit well
Envelope all who love You
Sweet Love sing and tell.

Breath of Life flow through me
Exhilarate my soul.
Eternal Spirit lead me
Guide me to my goal.

Sweet Spirit of God renew me
Make me wholly thine
Holy Spirit sent from Heaven
Sweet blessings, Love Divine.

GOD GENTLY PAINTS HIS HEARTBEAT


A winter wonderland
Outside my window pane
Beauty in snow’s pureness
Like glass window stained.

To celebrate the sight
The trees wave in the breeze
Pine trees covered in white
Such are Christmas trees.

Icy waters freeze
Making skating glass
Tightly bundled package
Stays warm by walking fast.

A season bright and beautiful
Pure as wool from lambs
God gently paints His heartbeat
Throughout this wonderland.
