She tries so hard to hear what they preach,
healing so close but still out of reach.
She longs to feel Gods loving embrace,
and his gentle hands wiping the tears on her face.
Wanting so badly to live life with ease,
tradeing her storm for a tranquil breeze.
Like the wind through the trees she hears a voice say,
I love you child, but it hurts to see you this way.
I was there with you then, but now that your older,
when times get rough rest your head on my shoulder.
I will help you walk down this long winding path,
letting go of the pain, the sorrow, the wrath.
If allowed I will show you a new way to live,
but first you must learn what it means to forgive.
