    Hello Everyone,
I lost my brother 9 months ago at the age of 50. This is going to our first Christmas without him. I already feel myself getting depressed and want to cry, but I keep going trying to hide it.
I know if Chuck could talk to me this is what he would tell me:

I see the countless Christmas trees
    Around the world below,
With tiny lights like heaven's stars
    Reflecting in the snow.

    The sight is so spectacular
    Please wipe away that tear
    For I'm spending Christmas
    With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
    That people hold so dear
    But earthly music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here

I have no words to tell you
    The joy their voices bring
    For it's beyond description
    To hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
Trust God and have no fear
    For I'm spending Christmas
    With Jesus Christ this year

I can't tell you of the splendor
Or the peace here in this place.
    Can you imagine Christmas
With our Savior, face to face?

    May God uplift your spirit
As I tell Him of your love
    Then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above.

So let your hearts be joyful
    And let your spirits sing
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the king!

I love and miss you so so much.
Fly with your wings my sweet angel.
    Love,
    Your Baby Sis
    Connie

    DEAR CONNIE
I FOUND THIS POEM AND HOPE YE DONT MIND I WANT TO DEDICATE IT TO YOUR DARLING BROTHER CHUCK
IN MY THOUGHTS CAJ AS ALWAYS DIANE X
    Christmas Without You

    The lights are blinking merrily
    The tinsel’s on the tree
It sits there in the window
For all the world to see.

The house is filled with holly
    And pinecone scents the air
    The Christmas cards keep coming
Each one is hung with care.

The gifts are tied with ribbons red
    And topped with pretty bows
I’m done with all the details
    As far as Christmas goes.

    The fire is softly glowing
    I think about your touch
    But Christmas isn’t Christmas
I miss you oh, so much.

If I could have just anything
    My Christmas wish would be
To wake up in the morning
And find you here with me.

    I reminisce our Christmas’ past
The joy and love we shared
    Moonlit walks and midnight talks
And ways you showed you cared.

    Staring at your picture
I long to be set free
    Tonight the tears are streaming
As I hold it next to me.

Flakes of snow swirl through the air
    I’m braced for stormy weather
I wait for brighter days ahead
    When we can be together.

So hold a place in heaven dear
    Someday when life is through
    I’ll be the Christmas angel
Who shares this day with you.

    Dearest Dino,

Thank you so very much for your beautiful poem. Of course I don't mind you dedicating it to Chuck. You know you are like a sister to me and thank you for seeing me thru before and after losing him. Sis you are one of a kind, and to have you as a friend and sister is the best gift ever sweetie.

    and your family XXXXXXXX

    All of my love,

    Hi ya caj

I know the first Christmas without a loved one is very hard, I had to do it last year without my mum. The poem is so so beautiful and I'm sure you're brother is saying exactly that. I know you miss him, like I miss my mum, like everyone misses loved ones that have gone especially at this time of the year, but we know they are in a far far better place than us, and that's what we can cling on to. Let the tears flow Connie, don't try and hold back it will only make it worse.

    Love
    Libby

Thank you so much for your reply sweetie. I did cry the 3 or 4 days before Christmas. Christmas went very well, I had my mom and sister.

    Love,
    Connie
