Hello there, my names rainy.
I have panic attacks all the time. And seriously, I'm tired of it. I'm 18, and I'm currently in college, but I can only take online classes because I fear everything now.

August 27th was my first panic attack. I thought I was having a heart attack. I thought I
Since I'm a bigger girl that god is calling upon me. I felt my throat close on me. I felt like someone scratched me from the back of my spine all the way to my fingertips, and set my body to tingle, the go completely numb. As tears hit my face, my brother whom was a EMT in iraq came over and helped me until the real EMT arrived.

We laugh now because I tell him, the first time you give me a foot rub I can't feel it!

I thought I was going to die, I kept saying good bye to my mom, and my brother. When I arrived at the ER they gave me Xanax. They gave me three Xanax, because I was soo worked up.

The very next day, I triggered ten panic attacks on myself.

I'm getting better, they don't come as often. And if I could I would do whatever it takes to make em stop. Life's to short to fear everything. I feel like I got bit by a snake, and they say the way to survive is to suck out all the poison.
I'm doing my best, but I still need help.

Anxiety and panic attacks are a real challenge to overcome. I've dealt with them for over 10 years. I like to listen to music and nature sounds when the attacks aren't too intense. But if I'm "freaking out" I have to find something to do that will force me to redirect my focus. For me, it has to be something with a steady pace so I don't have a chance to think about the attacks. I have GERD (acid reflux) and a hiatal hernia, so for me, some foods and drinks can trigger symptoms that lead to my anxiety and panic attacks. I also quit smoking cigarettes 7 years ago because they too can aggravate stress. I hope you find out what is causing your attacks. I have a spreadsheet on my website you can download to your desktop and print out to track your triggers. It's the same one I use. You'll be amazed by what you can learn about yourself by using such a simple tool.

If you are having a panic attack, then you should not worry about dying. As you may know, a panic attack is a mental issue. Figuring out how to cure yourself of such a problem is your doctor's job, and thus taking the Xanax he or she prescribed would be the thing to do. Quitting your smoking habits would be a wise thing to do as well, so heed that advice for a better chance of being cured faster.
