scared of talking??

im scared to talk to people. im scared to go out if someones gonna talk to me. im scared to walk my dog because they ask her name. im scared to go anywhere because they can ask me something. and i feel sick and really bad if they ask.

Could be an extreme case of fear of strangers not a fear in speaking itself, xenophobia i think it is (or is that fear of foreigners, erg)? I have similar feelings with my paranoia of people watching me (I live in a ridiculously small town where everyone knows who I am even when I've never met them in my life before)-- makes me fear interactions with people I don't know ('cause maybe they do know me, you know?) and I generally try to avoid talking to... anyone.

I have had fears of going out in public, its getting a little better ebcause i forced myself to do it, i started off slow just going to the jiffy store, worked my way up to bigger places, and if i started ot feel bad would walk out and just sit in the car. Try starting slow.. maybe find a chat room as you have and talk on it several times.. then maybe when in a store just a smile or nod at a stranger... work your way up to the harder things
