LOL Thank you!!!
I don't see any interest in us unless they are able to make money off of us. Why, that's just like our healthcare system!! *Mutters curse words under her breath*

Colourgirl, in things like this I agree, but it's possible that they do have their hearts in the right place, but then again it can also be considered exploitation if not reported correctly, plus there could be some backlash.
I'm reminded of a special that turned into a series about hoarding, and how much people (myself included) thought it was pure exploitation for Sweeps, but hoarders seemed to want their help.
Personally I think agoraphobia is the last thing that people would want on TV.
Sure there is a voyeurism quality to reality TV, but these types of shows only hurt the community instead of help it.
As for social phobia which I understand is part of agoraphobia, well have you ever seen the show "What Not To Wear"?
This is the worst show for people with that problem.
What's amazing (and frightening) to me is that non consent is completely legal as long as the person is outdoors, has a close friend or relative who asks for help in that person's name, or is in a place where one doesn't expect privacy such as a public restroom or dressing room.
Even then illegal activities can be filmed without consent (including with infrared or X-ray cameras).

I appreciate your post and I am the producer of the series. Our shows aim to tell real life stories about women struggling with medical issues, hazardous jobs or alternate lifestyles while pregnant. We are not trying to exploit anyone with agoraphobia, but rather help them by providing CBT with a therapist and reimbursement for taking the time to tell their story to others. Our aim is to help others who are struggling with the same problems take action for themselves and know that they are not alone.
And it is interesting that you compare this show to Hoarding, as it is similar in some ways. People willingly come forward to ask for help getting over their hoarding - no one forces them to be on the show. I know because I produced that one, too.
So if there is anyone who is pregnant and agoraphobic on the site, I do hope you will still consider being part of the program.

Maybe you should have opened with that.
Let's see what Colourgirl thinks now.
If you want some incite on your other show, it would be much better if you followed the format of American Pickers (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/American_Pickers) on History.
