ok, i am really freaking out here. to start with i have been having flash backs of things from when i was a kid that i don't remember. after talking to my older sister, she can't confirm, but says they are likely true memories.

so tue afternoon i had my first therapy appointment. i spent most of it in tears, and was really exhausted afterwords, but i am hoping it will help. on the way home hubby was bitching about oldest daughter who has been a nightmare lately. he has been having problems too, but i have asked him repeatedly to talk to her and try to straighten things out because i am already a wreck.

now the weird part. yesterday, around lunch time, apparently i got up, got dressed, picked up my purse, and walked out the front door. now i vaguely remember really needing to go take care of something, but that is it. hubby found me about 5 miles down the road. i have blisters on the bottoms of my feet(i was carrying my shoes) and a pretty bad sunburn, but i really don't know where i was going, how i managed to out the front door, much less apparently walk 5 miles, or why. i feel pretty "normal" today, little more anxious than usual, but REALLY REALLY SCARED.

any ideas or suggestions would really be appriciated here cause i don't know what is going on, but i think i am really losing it.

help, please,
lost

Hiya thelostone

I am going to be totally honest in my reply to you on this post as i have since reading it yesterday thought of if same had happened to me like you i would also be freaking

I did however look up reasons as to why this could happen and stress was one of the major factors in memory loss another was medication and or hormone changes in the body causing a temp shut down

I as you know am not in anyway medically trained to diagnose anything and i have been worried about how you are now ,please for peace of mind lost call your doctor and let him know exactly what happened fingers crossed it is something simple that can be sorted :)

ps: just want to add here hun your Certainly not losing it otherwise you wouldent have the ability to type a post ,please let me know your ok

love dino

thank you dino and florence,

i am still a wreck. i guess i should have called my therapist right after it happened, but by the time i calmed down enough to call her it was already to late to get her till monday. somehow i have lost an entire day in the process too. i have another appt on friday so worst case i can talk to her about it then. the anxiety is back to it's normal level, somewhat, i am waking up with panic attacks again which i had finally stopped doing a couple months ago, but the fear won't go away at all. i have spent most of the week in my closet with the whole family watching me like a hawk afraid i will disappear again. apparently i got ready to go infront of hubby, walked right past my 2 younger daughters and grandkids(the baby threw a temper tantrum) and when my middle daughter ran after me i told her to go home and take care of the kids. i still feel like i am losing it. kinda feels like i am not really here if that makes any sense. it feels like my life is not real. hubby says if anything like that happens again he will not give me a choice, just take me to the hospital. funny, i don't really remember him giving me a choice. i have been looking for info on derealization, but can't really find anything that describes it, just lots of stuff that it can be a symptom of. i have popped into chat a couple of times, but still have trouble talking when i am in there.

thank you for caring,

lost
