I have been around this site a couple years now. Mostly I visit chat but don't, well chat. I try to talk but it goes so fast and I dont feel welcome. Which is my own problem, part of my social anxiety, I just dont know what to say, and panic and leave.
I am afraid of people, in person, on the phone and on the net. ( I have severe social anxiety disorder, People scare me. I also have panic and general anxiety, I have never learned to drive a vehicle for instance) But I'm sick of this.
I want more. I want a life. I am 38, Am I to old to go get my GED and go to College? Is it worth it at my age? How would I get help if It is even feasible now?
Thanks!!
It says 2:40 am on this but here it is actually about 9:45 pm

First of all, of course you're not too old to do the GED! It was, according to Wikipedia, designed originally for WWII veterans but has since expanded to accommodate everyone who missed out on the chance of a high school diploma, etc, but who still wants to "better" themselves and move forward with their lives through gaining improved educational qualifications.
To me it's axiomatic that everyone deserves the very best education they can get. If people like Christian Slater and David Bowie went for a GED, why the heck shouldn't you? :)
You sound like you've reached that stage where your motto could be, "Enough, already!" Time to move on, time to get out of life what you want, what you deserve!!!
Do your research to see what you need to do (start here ('http://www.acenet.edu/AM/Template.cfm?Section=GEDTS'), perhaps?), plan how to go about getting it......
Then go for it!!!
Wishing you all the very best.

Gord!! Thank you so much. I remember you! You have always been so nice. Sorry I panic and run all the time.
David Bowie really went back to school? I did not know that. My Boy friend loves his music and has been introducing me to it. I like him alot!!
Makes me feel better to hear about others who do it and succeed.
I really want to do something with my life.
I have so many loves that I dont know what to do.
I do love to cook. Maybe???

I totally agree futher education is a fantastic thing to do I have 2 of my sibblings that are studying for OU and Computer courses go for it. ( I love to cook too )
And as for the chat room Please dont worry about not chatting some find it very hard to chat, believe it not when I first joined too me awhile to chat. If you have ever fancy a chat with someone remember you can always Pm any of the OPs in chat without having to ask permission in the main room.
Look luck my_psychosis
