hello all. this is my first post in this section. yesterday i was told that i was in fact agoraphobic, and i guess a part of me already knew that but did want to admit it. but now that it is sinking in i am afraid. i know that i can get past it but i think will it come back, where will i be in life when it does come back if it does? will i fight this for the rest of my life? all these things seem to trouble me now. i was hoping that some others coul help me answer some of these questions. thank you. :( :P :D

hello-

I am not Agora but I wanted to respond.

Will you suffer the rest of your life??- I ask that all the time with my OCD of intrusive thoughts of blacking out and sleepwalking. So is it normal to ask that? yes. Will it make our situations better, definetly not.

Take a deep breath.

I always look at things like that there are millions of people who have it worse than me.

I think you can get over being agora, I think all of us here can get over our issues. The problem is we all let our issues take over when our minds are strong enough to mess with us our mind is also strong enough to counter it.

stay well,
Dewey

I used to be close to housebound and found the program at
http://www.PanicBook.com ('http://www.PanicBook.com')
o be very helpful in getting me past it. It took me some time and effort, but what the program teaches in in my opinion the way out. I'm, not on meds anymore and haven't had a PA in a long time (years).
