Hi everyone--
I'm in a little rush, so I'll keep this short(for once! )Does anyone else on this board also suffer from chemical unipolar/bipolar depression? Which actually occurred well BEFORE your panic attacks/agoraphobia did?I am asking b/c this is my situation:I have very severe unipolar depression(with hypermania) which has been pronounced untreatable,or "refractory." I've tried virtually every med, shock treatment, etc.I'm barely hanging on by a thread. Death seems tempting.
My doctor gave up on me last week, said there are no more drug combos out there to help me. This was Tuesday;after that,I had a full-blown, 12 hr. panic attack and haven't left my home since, not even to water my beloved garden.Too scared.
I'm brand new to the board, so were many of you"normal" before your panic disorder?I mean, free from depression? How long have you suffered with panic/anxiety/agoraphobia? Which do you suffer from most?(Agoraphobia is worst for me, then panic.)I want to get to know people here, that's why I ask, but obviously if this is too personal I'm completely understanding if you just choose to ignore me! (Though I sort of hope at least a few of you answer! :)
Thanks so much,
Sierra

Ok well I guess I will begin with I suffer from ptsd with disociative features, panic attacks, anxity disorder, agoraphobia, repressed memory syndrom and clinical depression.
It has been a tough road for me because since my dx and treatment I have gotten worse and worse. I freaking sucks but I just keep telling myslef that it must get worse before it gets better.
I have gone from living a normal family life to living in a closet as even the confines of my own home proves far to scary for me on most days.
I hope that helps you get to know me a bit. If you really want to met our member and get to know them I would suggest that you try the chat room. Someone is there 24 7 and its safe and friendly in there. Everyone trys to be suppotive and most will share with you what they suffer from what helps them get threw the day and what they think of what your paticlar couse of acrion as many of them have been threw it all. Were a great group and often refur to eachother as family.

There are many ways to go on. There are many people right here that would love to share with you there experiences and listen to you share yours.

Hope to see you in there soon so we can chat away.
