Hello!

I'm new here and still can't figure the problems I have... or think I have. It is confusing.
I thought I have agoraphobia, because I'm afraid of going out and can't go out alone (well, these days it's even worse - I'm afraid of watching out from the window), I get psiched out if I have to go to the supermarcket and SEE people. But it all seems to be entangled with all kinds of things that I never heard of in relation to agoraphobia... When I'm alone I experience panic attacks with shortness of breath, pressure, palpitation, extreme synesthesia. It is hard to explain how things are connected... In a multi motion environment nothing is the same and I feel light-headed, no heaviness, sometimes I lose sensation, or just feel that waving weakness in my body. I get quite confused and may lose orientation. I'm afraid of feeling that. It happend to wake up (a couple of times) totally unaware of what was going on the previous week or two, got all the events deleted from my memory. But sometimes this is mixed too; with periods of total lightness when I see my life as a dream, so my closests think I'm a freak or just drug-addict (I do not actually remember this). Feeling euphoric and agitated is always and fast changing with depression.
If any of you ever felt the same, please, tell me what you do to feel better.
Thanks.

Thank you!

Unfortunately, I haven't spoken to any doctors about my problems. That's the main problem. My friends and family think that I'm playing the fool and refuse to help me find a specialist I should talk to. The only answer I get is: "Just stop!", whatever that means. Or an alternative therapy that I'm still unable to understand - I talked to my father about my problems and he took me out by force. Now I'm afraid to talk again.

Dear Rainbowmind :)

Welcome to the forum!

I'd definitely seek professional assistance for your mental health problems. The best place to start is with your general practitioner who may refer you to a psychiatrist or psychologist.

I'd definitely do this.

Wishing you all the best

Rainbow, try to understand that you are not alone ,,,The feelings and thoughts or absence of thought are real to you...I also had these symptoms, but you can get help. You need to talk to your dr. as everyone has already said...don't be afraid and don't be ashamed, it's okay ,,,your dr. will get you to the proper help you need. Rainbow, call dr. soon ok,, I will be thinking , and praying for your well being..but you have to make the first step by calling dr..

Hey Rainbow.

Do yourself a favour and seek out a decent doc. If not your normal GP, contact some local group therapy places and see if they can give you any references to a practitioner that has a good name in the field.
