Phobics-Awareness.org reserves the right to ban individual users or entire domains from using this service for any reason.

A number of individuals have volunteered their time to monitor the chat room to enforce these Rules and Regulations. Please respect these people.

The system administrators and our Monitors have the ability to ban individual machines -or- entire domains from accessing our web chat service.

If you are banned, and you return immediately, you may be banned upon re-entry. Just because you know a way around our ban doesn't give you the right to re-enter the room and continue your actions.

Repeat offenders or users found to be extremely abusive of our system or our users will be subject to PERMANENT BAN and a request will be sent to their Internet Provider(s) to suspend their internet account(s).

All rules are subject to change,
Chat room operators monitor the room and implement the rules,
Abuse of the rules will result in a kick or ban from the room.

CHATIQUETTE
Logging into chat means you will follow these standards of chat room etiquette.
Respect each other and hosts.

Those in need and / or new to the room take precedence. Drop everything until they are assisted.

Please keep swearing to a minimum and use ** if you need the feel to swear,

We urge you not to give your real name, location, address or phone number to anyone you meet in a chat room. This is to protect your privacy and keep you safe, We will not stop people from doing this, But we are only thinking of your own safety.

Give out your e-mail or MSN address etc, Proceed at your own risk. We encourage you to be cautious.

The Do Not's - Netiquette

Important!! Don't ever accept files or dcc/chats from anyone you don't know. Tempting sounding filenames can often be malicious trojans, carrying a bad virus which could effectively destroy the contents on your computer.

Don't ever give out personal information about yourself, such as your Real Name, City, Phone Number, School, E-Mail Address. BAD people use IRC too, don't fall prey to trouble that happens when others know too much about you.

Don't speak in CAPS - IT'S LIKE SHOUTING (!!!), most channels prefer the soft tones.

Don't Flood - which is sending too much information to the channel at once. Flooding is generally considered to be 4+ lines at once and most channel operator will remove you from their channel if you flood.

Advertising - Most channels do not want their channel as a place for others to advertise websites, businesses, or other chat channels/networks... This is commonly known as Spamming.

Repeating.....Repeating.....Repeating.....Repeating..... It is likely a channel operator will remove you from their channel if you often repeat.

If a channel has rules, please do not ignore them -- show respect by reading and following them. IRCops will not interfere with channel owners and their operator's decisions, as well as their channel rules -- so, you'll have a more pleasant experience chatting when you treat others as you would have them treat you.
