My
story of agoraphobia, and panick attacks.
It all started when i was
aged 24years and I was fully fit, I was fit and strong and nothing bothered
me I could go anywhere wanted,
One morning i went to work
full of the joys of spring, and that night when I finished work I was
approaching my house when I saw a ambulance at my door I rushed in to
find my mother was very ill they took here away to hospital later on
we found out my mother had cancer,
I was devastated, anyway
my mother died in 1964. I couldn't eat, or sleep,
I couldn't go to work because
I was so upset anyway the days went by but began to have panic attacks
which I still get to this day, believe me its not fun I had to go bed
as my symptoms was dizzy ness sweating I felt I was floating on air,
I called my doctor out to my home as I couldn't move,
Anyway he gave some tablets
told me to take it easy what a laugh that was little did I know what
was in store for the rest of my life,
I got up the next morning
and I felt o.k. so i thought I would go and do some shopping as I lived
on my own, at the time, I walked to the shops and as I was walking I
felt a bit dizzy and I was sweating i started to panic I was lucky a
friend came around the corner asking me if I was o.k I told him I wasn't
feeling to well and he took me home,
Now as i write this today
I'm still in the same boat i've had hospital treatment, medication which
I'm still on, I can only stand at my front door or my back door,
I
keep hoping and praying every day thank you for your time. I'm very
grateful.and to Paul, and everyone who has the same troubles god bless
you all yours faithfully John.
